UDAAN has a dedicated team of volunteer who helps us in reaching the communities in a more vibrant and inclusive manner. The team of volunteers have been campaigning, working in networks, in specific localities, with local communities to address the issues affecting people.

Who We Are
UDAAN Society was formed in year 2004 when some young social workers working to eradicate Polio thought to work on alternative strategies, apart from community mobilization for the eradication of Polio.
The planning was to work upon deep rooted factor and causes for any problem rather than problem itself. For the purpose a banner named UDAAN (Unified Development Association for the Amelioration of Neglected) was formed and got registered on dated 13/12/2004.
Though the organization was registered by young social workers having competencies related to social work, financial administration, human resource management, agriculture, law, public administration etc. with doctorate and Master degrees in their relevant fields, we got patronage of academicians, professionals and governmental and non governmental officials from all walk of life.
Presently, UDAAN Society has eleven members in its executive committee who take important decisions and decide for future course of action. Apart, their is team of dedicated volunteers, staff, and members of the organization who guides at each and every step.
Where We Work
UDAAN Society is presently working at Aligarh, Hathras, Bulandshar, Kasganj and Jhansi Districts of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier we have experience of working in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh and Ambikapur District of Chhatishgarh state. We prefer to work in most remotest areas and with underserved communities. Presently our working area includes both slums and rural areas of the above mentioned districts.
To establish an infrastructure of accessible services for people, primarily for under-privileged society, using manpower and resources available within communities willing to actively participate leading to an inclusive society. To make people’s life easier by applying the humanistic approach based on equality, justice and peace to bring them on the path of sustainable development by involving them in main stream society.
Accolade for Cleanliness Drive
UDAAN Society members Neeraj Giri, Neelam Saini, Nadeem Ahmad, Kuldeep Kumar and others took a cumbersome initiative to clean the Akal Sarovar in which they succeeded quite well. For Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan, the institution was elected by the Shri Satish Gautam, Honorable Member of Parliament, Aligarh, in the Nav Ratna institutes for cleanliness campaign.
Cleanliness Initiative: Appreciation Ceremony
Active participation of UDAAN Society, in collaboration with City Corporation Aligarh, for over a year on cleanliness and sanitation initiative finally brought respect, honour and commendation on the auspicious eve of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and 2nd Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri ji. Entire team of UDAAN Society led by the President of the Society, Shri Gyanendra Mishra was respectfully honoured and felicitated for their commendable work by Smt. Shakuntala Bharti, Mayor of Aligarh and Shri Santosh Kumar Sharma, Municipal Commissioner, Aligarh.
Award for Selfless Commendable work
On the New Year eve, Shri Anurag Gupta, Industries Trade Organization’s, Shri Umesh Shrivastav, Shri Sanjay Pandit etc. honored the UDAAN Society for outstanding selfless public services. Shri Anurag Gupta applauded the work of the UDAAN Society and discussed the way in which the UDAAN Society celebrated its foundation day before all the respected guests.
