As part of its 21st Foundation Day celebrations, UDAAN Society organized a Cataract Screening and Free Eyeglasses Distribution Camp in Nagola Gram Panchayat, Vikas Khand Jawan. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Lieutenant Colonel Nitin Bhatia Memorial Trust and Friends for Cause Canada. It was inaugurated by Rajkumar Singh, Provincial Convener, and Dinesh Kumar Baghel, Village Head, by cutting the ribbon.
UDAAN Society President, Gyanendra Mishra, shared that the organization has been celebrating its foundation day every year by serving the underprivileged, destitute, and needy. This year, the society is extending its outreach by setting up cataract screening camps in Nagola, Talibnagar, and Saatha Gram Panchayats. Free cataract surgeries will be conducted with the support of the Lieutenant Colonel Nitin Bhatia Memorial Trust and Friends for Cause Canada.
In today’s camp, 150 individuals underwent screening, with around 60 receiving eyeglasses, and 22 identified for cataract surgeries. The camp witnessed active participation from volunteers including Ruchi Saxena, Chanchal Kumari, Bhavna Kumari, Neetu Verma, Rachel, Sadhana Singh, Indu Kumari, and Nasir Ali Khan.
